RE: Updates not installing

I have a similar problem with KB428416. Am trying to get updates through the
Microsoft website b/c the automatic update has been failing a lot and it
slows my computer to a crawl for hours at a time. I am not even trying to
get any updates for Office, just for Windows. Tried to get this update, took
over 2 hours on dialup connection, then said it failed. Tried going back to
Microsoft website. It said I had the update. I tried to install it, but it
won't. Hung up and restarted. Again, says I have it, but if I have it, I
can't find it and it won't install. Tried getting it again, no luck. Tried
restarting again, no luck. Error code 0x643 (can't find anything I can
understand, about what this means.)
Anything else I can do?
