Error message 80070002 in vista

Hi can anybody help?
Every time i try to update vist home pre/32bit. 2gb ram 12o hard OS....
i get the error code 80070002....
witch i try all the ways peps say to try but with no luck....
i also do it manualy n still no luck....
Ok am newbie to comps about 8months now.
But am not stupid n how to fix my own stuff....
But this as got me so any help would be great n i also thank anybody in
advance...

Doing *what* manually? Updating automatically is not specific
about which update you get. Installing an update manually is.

The point of running an update manually is twofold:
1. it might work better than an automatic install
2. it might giveyou better diagnostics

Did you look for the diagnostics produced by your manual install?
In any case you can now do it again while running ProcMon
to supplement whatever diagnostics you do get.

BTW I am cross-posting this to a Vista NG in case you need some Vista
specific help. I don't have that OS.
