Doing *what* manually? Updating automatically is not specific
about which update you get. Installing an update manually is.
The point of running an update manually is twofold:
1. it might work better than an automatic install
2. it might giveyou better diagnostics
Did you look for the diagnostics produced by your manual install?
In any case you can now do it again while running ProcMon
to supplement whatever diagnostics you do get.
