Recent update breaks SBS Fax Console?

We're getting reports from customers of several XP and Vista Business
computers no longer able to open and use their Fax Consoles to view the fax
server on their SBS 2003 servers. We have confirmed that the Fax Console on
the server itself, or those on Windows 2000 Pro computers, are still
functioning.

These reports started coming in Monday after clients installed critical
updates. The common updates installed on the affected machines include:

KB954478
KB954326
