why?

well my pc is all up to date and all programs work just fine... but my
question is, why does my pc keep trying to install Microsoft .NET framework
1.1 service pack 1? i already have all updates for service pack 1 & 2. but it
still keeps trying to update service pack 1, and even when i click ok it
fails to do so. why?

1. Write down what .NET Framework versions are already installed before you
go uninstalling/removing any of them!

How to determine which versions of the .NET Framework are installed and
