update causes c000021a fatal error but F8 does not seem to work

Hi,

Thanks for reading my questions first of all and hopefully you can help me!!

I press F8 when my computer is starting, then get the Windows advanced
options menu.

Whatever I select, a number of lines appear (I believe in DOS) but then
disappear immediately and my computer then tries to restart windows and I get
this Blue screen again with the fatal error message. What do I do wrong?

Always state your full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3; Vista SP1) when
posting to this newsgroup, please.

What update are you referring to?
