Try downloading the update and *save* it from here:

Click the Continue button to first Validate the system.
Once the download completes close *all* open programs and browsers.
Disconnect the system from it's net/network connection. Temporarily
disable the installed antivirus/security suite and any other security
software that monitors the registry or prevents files from being
updated/swapped. Consult the Help/User Guide of such softwares or visit
the manufacturers' web sites to learn how this is done.
*All* running services of such software must be temp disabled.
Now run Windows6.0-KB947562-x86.msu by *right* clicking it and choosing
'Run as administrator'. Follow the prompts.
After the installation attempt and *prior* to reconnecting the system,
reenable the installed security software.
