: You can get SP3 in multiple ways - none better than any other...

Takes some time reading on all this and now know I need to call support.
As you requested, these are my 'problems' to resolve.
Problem 1: Installed new printer (not supposed to be a compatibility
problem) but NT Authority System didn't like it. (re: (PML) driver is not
compatible with a policy enabled on your computer that blocks windows NT 4.0
or Windows 2000 Kernel-mode drivers. Takes some time reading on this and now
know I need to call support. There were a few things about the install that
didn't seem right.Subsequently got the horrid PCL XL error which I now know
is a well-known problem and is supposed to get fixed with SP3.
Problem 2. Got a raft of RUNDLL32 prefetch files ???
Lost all my restore points while System restore was processing one of my
antivirus files (Anti-virus runs have not found anything. Not sure if
cleaning out the restore points got rid of any criminals. Need to verify
this with other tools before installing SP3. The next day the launch was
normal and the system seems very stable.
Takes some time reading on all this and now know I need to uninstall the
printer; find some tools to assure no virus/trojans; then call support.
Problem 3: With all this, I still have to read what to do/not to before I
do some backups and install SP3 (re: AMD, ect.
...................
So can I just delete the current SP3 that is waiting to get installed?
