Service Pack Crashes
My computer company (Hewlitt-Packard) tells me that I need these updates
(KB935509, KB938371, and KB937287) before I can install Service Pack 1. These
do not come up on Windows Update. When I try to install them manually from
the standalone package (KB936330), my computer crashes everytime--it cannot
boot up, even in safe mode, prividing this error "no recenv.exe." At this
point, I have spent over 32 hours trying to install the Service Pack. Once I
restored my computer, it hasn't run the same since and still sometimes
crashes while I boot up.
