Security patches, Aug 2008

I don't really understand some of patches released in August 2008.

- neither Outlook Express nor Windows Messenger is installed on my win
xp pro sp3; but the MBSA wishes to have 466648 and 951066 patches installed.
I could install both without any errors.
- neither Aurigma Image Uploader nor HP Instant Support is installed.
but the mbsa recommends installation of 953839 patch.
Only the printer hp690c together with windows own driver in use.
The HP software had never been present on this pc.

You can hide all 3 updates if you don't think OE or Windows Messenger will
*ever* be used and if you think that the Aurigma and HP software will
*never* be installed.
