Re: Error 0x80070490 when trying to install KB940157
Like you suggested previously, I tried installing manually following your
instructions:
Can you download/install KB940157 manually?
1. Assuming 32-bit, go to
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...5-95B91B453284
and Save the download to your desktop (do not Run it).
2. Right-click on the saved file and select Run as Administrator to install.
Follow all prompts.
This resulted in the message "The update does not apply to your system" and
the log entries that I posted.
