Deleted Audio Device

I accidentally deleted the audio device from my laptop while getting rid of
other programs that i didn't need. Now i have no sound and no idea how to
restore it.

Why not contact the manufacturer of your laptop and they'll be able to advise
you regarding what you need to do. Advise them of your model number etc.

How is this a windows Update question? Go the the manufacturer's web site,
download the device driver and install it.
