Error Code 1603

C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Setup Bootstrap\LOG\Hotfix

Using Window XP and Outlook 07 enterprise with BCM on stand alone high end
lap top all with latest updates…

BCM installed SQL Express 05 to use. Windows Update tried to install
"Security Update for SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 2 (KB948109)"

This update fails to install regardless of how you try installing it (i.e.
from windows update, download and install from local hard drive, etc.).

The Error Code is 1603. I have a lot of error logs, but there are very
long and I don't see what the problem is.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Hello,

Check that SQL Express is not running and make sure the account is running
on Local and not Network .

If the service is not started, please start the service.
