I have tried all these fixes but I still am getting the same errors,
either 0x80070005 and 80070424. I have been working on this problem for
days and I am getting nowhere and still can't do my windows vista
ultimate updates automatically or manually. I have also tried going into
user account and switching it off, still nothing. Please any help would
be greatly appreciated.

As you've tried all the fixes etc - then suggest you obtain assistance from
MS Support

To make sure you receive the appropriate support information for your
