How can I install this?

Hi folks

KB950759

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

Wont install on the other PC here, it says the files in
the package arent compatible.

BUT, it installs fine on this PC.

Both have the same version of IE and XP (SP3)

So, any ideas on WHY it wont install?

It still appears in the shield on the taskbar, but it still wont install.

Whether I download the file manually, or download the update from within the
shield.

Any info appreciated

I have had all the above problems as you had. I downloaded as fresh Internet
Explorer version 7 to my desktop, exited anivirus, firewall program and
Windows Defender. I then just ran the downloaded copy from my desktop, when
installed I rebooted, I then ran the KB950759 and it installed beautifully. I
might add it was the same version of Internet Explorer that I already had.
Don't ask me why it worked. LOL I was just happy it did.
Hope it helps everyone that is having trouble with this one.
