Windows SP# update

After downloading and installing Windows SP3 Outlook Express continually
requests to compact email files. Outlook express is turn off and outlook is
being used.

I think OE calls for compacting the data base after every 100 times
you open and close OE. Have you tried letting OE cmpact the database.
That may resolve the problem.
