i am really desperate as to how i can solve this problem ,
i am using XP Professional , btw .
can someone please explain how to solve this problem ?
i am 14 years old , so please no hard terms .

At what point are you receiving this error? Are you receiving it when you visit the
Windows Update page or are you receiving the error when the updates are trying to install?
Is there a specific update.

If it is a specific update,perhaps try manually downloading and installing the same.

You could also try clearing out your temporary internet files and doing a little bit of
maintenance.
