3 Updates Fail to Install

I recently rebuilt my system. (Windows Media Center Edition) I got thru
service pack 3 and then one of the subsequent updates seems to have broken
updates.. Any updates I try and install via windowsupdate fail. I downloaded
SP3 and IE7 and manually installed them and they worked fine. (IE7 was one of
the updates that was failing to install via windowsupdate)

I now have the following 3 high priority updates that fail to install:
-Update for Windows XP (KB942763)
-Cumm. Security Update for IE7 for Windows XP (KB947864)
-Security Update for MS .NET Framework, Ver. 2.0 (KB928365)

When I select the and click review and install updates, it shows me they are
already downloaded and nothing needs to be downloaded.

When I click install it quickly comes back saying "The following updates
were not installed" with no other usefull information.

Grrrr Im pulling my hair out on this one.. I don't wanna spend another
entire weekend rebuilding my workstation again..

Updates are not installed successfully from Windows Update, from Microsoft
Update, or by using Automatic Updates after you repair a Windows XP
installation:

NB: Also applies to clean installs, upgrade installs, and Recovery installs.
