DVD/CD Not operating, Code 19
My DVD is not operting. Device manager is providing the following status:

Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration
information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

Try to use a system restore point to restore your settings to a time when it
was working.

Why not? His unit was working - system restore will sort it to a time when
it was working. Why have system restore then?
