How to switch off windows update
Dear all,

I'm using dial-up and wish to turn Update off as its real slow. Tried
ending wuauclt.exe but it kept restarting. Thanks people.

Hi there,

On the desktop right click my computer, choose properties and than the tab
automatic updates. Mark the checkbox turn of automatic updates and click OK.

Start | Settings | ControlPanel | Administrative Tools, click Services,
right click Automatic Updates, click Properties, in Startup type drop-down
menu select 'Disabled', click OK and you're done.

Pause or Resume Downloading
