XP sp3 crash (work around )
I too have had the sp3 crash with the blue screen
stop:c0000139 (entry point not found)
can't find Gdi32.dll

My work around
when you try to use the recovery console and are asked for the
"administrator"
password, which no one has !
don't use the recovery console at the first screen prompt
continue as if you are going to install windows
when it locates the op system and askes if you want to
"replace it "
"install a fresh copy "
"repair this op system "
enter "R" for repair
this time it will not ask for the "administrators" password
and your on your way to recovery
if it asks for a password later it will be for the users accounts your
familiar with
I hope this helps someone, it sure made my day

Re: XP sp3 crash (work around )
To Jerry :I followed that fix 3 times and it only leads me to the
"Administrator "
password . this work around is to get around that
also if you do it this way you can't copy single files it just does a full
recovery
much better for the common folk and less confusing

Sorry, but that forum is the only place where the Beta build is supported.

Re: XP sp3 crash (work around )
Sorry if I posted here, I may be new to your forum blog
but it seems silly to have multiple forums
I didn't see the sign that said "No Beta "
I'm not trying to be disrespectful, I'm giving you feedback from the common
folk side of things, sometimes you need to view things from our side
and the explanations given in a great many of MS postings are not very
specific
sometimes you need to give a walkthrough aproach

I feel the same way about recycyling my garbage.
It feels silly sorting all my paper, glass, and metal...
