UPDATES FAILED FAILED AGAIN

well Ive given up just about with automatic updates for sp1 and manual.
nothing worked except when regular tune up with security and it came back
fair instead of great. The update available (so it says) if not updated has
affected my security...
Ive spent 6 hours today on live chat with 2 lovely ladies from microsoft in
some country (USA I think) both had permission to control my computer and fix
up the problem but guess what it didnt work. now I still have in my update to
download (wont) and a manual update of sp1.

ps. also had security disabled, programs stopped and restarted, these lovely
ladies fiddling inside my computers brain etc and also been to free help info.

HI Barb I to have had my vista sytem with same prob for 10 attempts ref sp1
and I to have been around the globe with microsoft,and still no sp1 update on
my system the last instuction. was to have a clean re-install which I am
reluctant to perform. PC world (they supplied the computer) say to hold back
because there is a problem with the update. James.S>S
