update won't install

i am not computer friendly and i have a install of software distribution
service 3.0 that has tried to install at least ten or more times and nothing
can anyone help

Hi looneytunes, can you be a little bit more specific.

What operating system are you using?

What is the particular update that is causing the problem?

Just try to explain exactly what is happening with as much detail as you
can, we're relying upon you to describe the problem as we can't see the
computer. So do your best and maybe someone will be able to assist.
