Error Code 0x8007F0F4

Update KB944338 has repeatedly failed to install. I'm getting error code
8007F0F4 and cannot locate this code anywhere for an explanation. Anyone able
to help?

I also get the same problem. Can't search for help so far. Anyone have any
idea?

XP SP2 ? Download, save, and then install Windows Script 5.7
Restart the system and see if KB944338 is still offered.

This is the fix. Am running XP SP2. The script installs the required
security patch.

When I attempt to run the script I get an error message that says
"C:\....\Windows Script 5.7\scripten.exe is not a valid Win32 application."

I have XP SP2 installed with no prior history of installation failures.

Subsequently, I moved the 5.7 to the desktop and ran it successfully from
there. Once done and restarted the original issue with installing the
security update was also fixed, i.e., the update was no longer identified as
needed. thanks all to your collective help.
