Hi All,
Having still conflict with windows defender updates after installing the
recommended update for this fix. Windows does not install the updates and
failes with the above code. If I shut down the spysweeper and re-run it
installs the updates. There is a need for fix for this conflict as vista
continues to download/install the files and fails as the auto updates are on.
My PC config -
Windows Vista Business [32 bit]
Sony Vaio VGN-SZ460N
Intel Core 2 CPU [T7200@2.00Ghz] & 2GB Ram & 160GB HDD & Nvidia Graphics &
Built in Lan, Blue tooth and WAN card.
Current Windows Experience Index is 3.2

I'm not sure that I understand. You mean you are unable to complete Windows
update unless you shut down Windows Defender?
You should really post this in the Windows Update newsgroup
