Problem whith Sp1 and vista updates

Dear all,
I've got problems to install vista SP1 (and I know I'm not the only one, so
I hope that the solution exist and you'll provide it to me).
I have a home premium version. Updates were automatically made before the
publication of the SP1 pack. The installation made that after rebooting the
system (after the 3rd part of installation process) the file 24958 blocked
and there was written: !!OXC0190005!!
I was lucky because after several attempt to reboot the system I succeeded
and the configuration came back ti the one before installation of Sp1. So I
decided to continue without Sp1.
BUT, now, I cannot install any update anymore...

What can I do ?

Read the code correctly for a start and then search with it.

Wasn't that helpful? As usual, error codes are almost meaningless
without their context. Search your harddrive for that hex string
(this time without the 0x prefix) in files which changed on the day
you ran the update and then looki for some context.in the files
that search finds.
