Confused with Updating.... (Help!)

I keep trying to use my Windows Movie Maker, but before I can even click
anything, a Not-Working error pops up. It says To go to the update Ceter and
download the new update in which where the bug is fixed. except, when I go to
automatic updates, or the download center I don't what update I'm looking or
should download.

What version of Windows are you using? Vista or Windows XP?
