ActiveX control problem in windowsXP updates then stuck

hi friends,
i had problem with my windows updates , when i start the updates the
window open and stucked , it says like this

*checking if your computer has the latest version of windows updating
software for use with the website......

the website use activeX controls to determine which version of the
software your computer is runing. if u see an ActiveX warning, make
surethe control is digitally signed by microsoft before installing it
or allowing it to run *

Try registering the following:

Click Start, select Run and type (pressing enter after each one and wait for the success
message):

net.exe stop wuauserv
Press Ok

Repeat for the following:
regsvr32 wuapi.dll
regsvr32 wups.dll
regsvr32 wuaueng.dll
regsvr32 wuaueng1.dll
regsvr32 wuweb.dll
regsvr32 jscript.dll
regsvr32 wucltui.dll
regsvr32 msxml3.dll
regsvr32 softpub.dll
regsvr32 atl.dll

net.exe start wuauserv
