Updates won't stop downloading!

i started downloading from the windows update site at 17.30 yesterday and two
of the three downloads installed OK, but the last one has just been
continuously saying that it is downloading updates. The progress bar as not
changed from zero as well as the download percentage bar and it is now 03.
45am in the morning. This is not the first time this has happened. can you
ell me why?

Use the WindowsUpdate.log to find out.
Use bitsadmin (in a cmd window) to see if it is involved.
