error code 80004005 for security update Windows Vista KB946456

I am using Windows Vista Home Premium edition. I have tried to install
security update KB946456. My computer tells me that the updates were
successfully installed but when it tries to configure them, I get the message
"Updates were not configured correctly. Reverting changes." I got the error
code 80004005 and went to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/933528. It told me
to install the microsoft update after creating an account name that only
contained a single-byte character. I did this but the same message came up
with the same error code. Any other suggestions?
