Pa Bear gave you many options for your problem, I'd say his Crystal Ball is
broken, so he couldn't pick one in particular that addresses your situation.
In other words those two error codes you provided have several different
solutions and he gave you a start to find which one that may benefit you.
You want one in particular?, thy this....
Here is what you should do for the error code 80073712
Look in your windows folder, a corrupt file called "pending.xml" in Vista,
you do have Vista right? you didn't say so I'll assume you do.
Use the Windows Search tool, it makes it easier to find.
Once found you will need to delete this file, but first you will need to set
permissions.
Right click on file and select properties, select the Security Tab
You will need to add 'EVERYONE' and give full permissions
Once you change permissions, you can now delete the "pending.xml"
Now go back and try Windows Update.
Error code 8007065E has to many hits for me to sit here and do all the work
for you. Try what PA Bear suggested. As an alternative you can do a manual
download and here is a nice little app to get them for you.
