Windows Update

I have this problem where I cannot install updates (priority or recommended)
from 2.12.2008. I receive error code 80070002 for the priority updates, and
code 800B0100 for the recommended updates. I can install other non
priority/recommended updates.

Here is a list of the updates I'm unable to install;
Priority:KB944533,943055, 946026, 946456, 938371 Recommended: KB947172,
905866, 943302, 943899

I found steps to correct the problem for error code 80070002 with no luck.
Could not find anything for 800B0100

FYI, I did do a Restore prior to trying to install the above updates

Hey. I'm with this problem too... a little bit worse, I'd say, considering
I've formated my notebook and lost all the other updates. Now, whenever I try
to install them, since the first one, I receive this error code and a message
saying it failed. I also tried some steps to fix this problem, but I couldn't
get it done. Honestly, I don't know what else to do.

Not luck. This is almost the same steps I used when following the link from
the Windows Update page. When I go to install I still get the message that
they are missing.

It seems like that there are other updates that are missing that prevents
the 2.12.2008 update to install. The only thing left is the try the
Troubleshooting steps.

From the looks of this NG it seems other are having the same problems with
the updates that I am but only they are having it one file at a time.

FYI:

My computer finally had a melt-down due to the mentioned error codes and
updates. I couldn't do anything to restore the PC. I finally had to resort
to an image backup I had that was 300 days old. The most resent image failed
to install, my luck. I've been putting the PC back together since the 6th.
