Re: updates for xp?????
See support life Cycle here..... though updates for XP are likely to be few
and far
between after the OEM issue expiration in June, 08.

I can't help you, but does it matter?

I'm quite happy with my computers XP, surely any major bugs out by now. I
see people using windows 95 and 98 still and they not having problems.
I see voodoomagic gives 2009/2014 for support I guess I will have got a new
PC by that later date. My other PC with XP as well is 3 years old and
allready had 2 major repairs so if that goes again in the bin it goes. So
to me the operating system lasting longer than the PC.

Most updates were security updates, and after this time are few and
far between, also MS updates have a reputation for breaking things.
Well certainly the Vista ones at the moment.
If you have a good firewall, virus, and malware scanners, then
unless you do lots of P2P s/w downloads you should be
safe.
