SP3 RC2 for XP gives 'Access denied' error

I have just tried installing the SP3 RC" for Windows XP and twice I have got,
half-way through the process, an 'access denied' error. No other details are
given, except to get me to click 'OK' to roll back the update.

Any ideas, anyone?

Since you are doing this on a non-production machine - roll it back and ask
in the Windows XP SP3 forums...
(After all - being on a non-production machine for testing - what do you
have to lose?)
