Exchange Server

I shut down my exchange server 4 hours ago - at that time it began to install
a window's update. It still has not shut down and I have a window stateing
that Windows updates 1 of 1 are being installed and not to shut the system
down. I know it doesn't usually take this long for windows updates to
install, but I'm afraid to hit the power button to shut the server down. Any
suggestions???
