Error Code: 0xE0434F4D

I get Error Code: 0xE0434F4D evrytime i try to install Microsoft .NET
Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1. a prompt also says "SL11E.tmp has encountered a
problem and needs to close". Becos of this i cannot start up my vegas editing
software as it requires framework. I've tried solving these for days!!!!!!!
Could someone be kind enuf to help me. and pls give simple instructions, i'm
just operator level.... thks

the caveat says it may not work for every case but i assure you it's worth a
shot. all my updates are d/loaded n installed. my vegas software is up n
running!!!!
