kb929300 is screwed up ... my opinion

ok,

i am an official old fart (63 years old) i signed up for george bush's
memoirs -
my own sponge bob coloring book and a box of eight crayola crayons. so i
can
color in my favorite george bush accomplishment and submit my entry to the
george bush memorial library . no one in west has mastered reading, so
george
thought the sponge bob coloring was a good alternative to a real book.

.... but seriously folks ... kb 929300 will not install ... i tried two times
to get the
kb929300 to install. i must not be holding my nose in the correct position
or
perhaps god is punishing me for making fun of the commander in chef. ... yes
i
know that chief is the correct word ... but chef reminds me of all the west
texas
barbecues that i will not be invited to in 2009 ...too bad ...

so ... back to my problem. ... the first time i downloaded and attempted to
install
kb 929300 it failed in the verifying file step. ... so i cleaned up my hard
drive and
attacked the problem again ...

is there some special sequence to install the .net kb articles ??

what am i doing wrong ...

help ...

Then that is your opportunity to do some troubleshooting. ; )
If you were doing a .NET Framework update manually (e.g. NF 3.5)
you might get an error message which would give you sufficient hints
to resolve the problem. Otherwise you would have to root through
the abundant diagnostic files that those updates create.

FWIW this post helped me take a correct perspective on an error
message that I was initially dismissing as being bogus:

I too am having problems with 929300 .net 3.0 sp1. I am trying to roll it
out with sms 2003 and it reports that the install failed every time. Has
anyone been sucessful with this patch?
