Wont Boot After Updates
I have a Toshiba laptop with vista home premium. When I install some vista
updates, security updates and malicious software removal tools my pc wont
boot. It will load the bios, and the vista bar in the beginning of boot. Then
the screen goes blank and the HD activity light stops. I do a manual restart
and then is says that i can run windows normally or run boot repair. I run
boot repair, and do a system restore through it. Sometimes it requires two
system restores. Then pc boots and the updates are needed to be installed
again. System restore says that a recent driver update caused the problem.
These updates are important so i would like to install them. Toshiba told me
to call windows, or do an HD wipe. I have norton 360 actively running, and
doing virus scans so i am protected. But yester day for the 2nd time i
updated and this happened, (first time about a month ago) i couldnt turn
active watch on in norton so i had to reinstall because if this problem with
the updates. So, can you guys help me.
