****The words "Don't show this update again" and the 'check box' are greyed
out...Totally eliminating the ability to choose to "hide"...
How is Automatic Updates configured (i.e., Automatic; Download/Notify;
> Notify Only)?
****I have "Automatic Updates" turned--- Off.....
I use -------- update.microsoft.com/windowsupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=en-us
every month to scan for needed updates......That gives me the
options---"Express" or "Custom".....I choose "Custom"......That's where I run
into the inability to "hide" unwanted updates.....Here's an example------
------"A security issue has been identified in TCPIP that could allow an
attacker to compromise your Windows-based system and gain control over it.
You can help protect your computer by installing this update from Microsoft.
After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer.
Details...
Don't show this update again"--------
-------The words "Don't show this update again followed by a check box are
greyed out.....
I don't use the Hide option often (the last time was 3/07) but every once in
awhile I choose not to install an update and I don't want to deal with it
month after month etc.....
Thanx for helping me with this.....
