Update fails on K911564 MediaPlayer plug-in...

While updating fresh load of 2000 pro with SP4 and IE 6 (my system had become
unstable and I had to resort to reimaging from Ghost 9.0 CD that came with my
machine), the update process just stalled on installing update 17 of 61
(J911564 MediaPlayer plug-in) - no error message. When I hit Ctl-Alt-Del,
Task Manager showed that the process was running - when I tried to end it, it
said that it was waiting for a response from me, but there was no other task
active and no window showing a request.

Please advise how to get this update process completed, thanks!
