Update confusion

When I try to connect to windows update I get the following page/message:

Thank you for your interest in obtaining updates from our site.

This website is designed to work with Microsoft Windows operating systems
only.
To find updates for Microsoft products that are designed for Macintosh
operating systems, please visit http://www.microsoft.com/mac/.

I am running Windows XP Media Edition... This started about 3 weeks
ago..before that time I had no issues with connecting to windows update.
Any assistance with my connecting would be appreciated..
