Error 800736CC during update

OK, after nearly 30 days og the same error showing up, and me reporting it
about 11 times.
Can someone help me with this horrific system as I am trying to DL the
December 11 Service pack. I have read of others having issues, yes of
course, MS is nowhere to be found with a solution.
My guess is this SP might resolve 2 or 3 of the 5,000,000 problems Veeeeesta
has, thus i would like to download it, as opposed to reading error message.

can anyone who went through this hell help me?
