Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1 updates

After downloading Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1, I get a
message saying it can't be installed. What should I do or can I do for it to
install? Thank you.

You will not need to install both .NET Framework 1.1 and .NET Framework 1.1
SP1. just the latter.

reload you OS, I've tried just about every fix on here and it still won't
resolve the issue.

I think I'll give Linux a shot since MS and teh braintrust can't solve it.
It's easier and faster to reload than surf this clusterbang of a help board
trying to find an answer. Frustrating isn't the word...
