Many Failed updates

for the past three months my reapeated atempts to dolwnoad vista updates have
failed. Well now im up to 8 updates, some of wich are considdered to be
important. Im running vista home pre. 32, can any body help with this?

Click the Start button All Programs and then click Windows Update.
If an error has occurred, it will be displayed with an error code that you can use to
assist in solving the problem.

Welcome to the world of failed updates. We've been having the same issues
for months on all of our Vista systems.

Some updates take, others fail time and again....

I've had it and will be upgrading to Ubuntu or XP. IMHO, Vista isn't worth
the &*^$ it's printed on.

So far I've been lucky on the Vista laptop. No failures.
