Upgrading to XP professional

Hi,

A new (one month) dell computer Inspiron 530.
It came with XP Home edition. Worked fine.
The Windows op. system was fully updated.

I just upgraded to XP professional.
Work fine - except one thing - windows update.

After a few minutes of operation it "find" that
updates are needed. I accept, etc.
Then, when it tries to update - it fails.

A window shows up stating:
"Some updates could not be installed"
The list is very long.

Any idea?

View your update history, select the ? icon next to a failed update for
options/help
