Update for Windows XP (KB934238) and Error Code: 0x80242006

Getting Error Code: 0x80242006 when tring to install update (KB934238)
Have tried several times, and it is not listed anywhere else,

I have the same error message. I've tried to install the update 4 times.

Hi, if you install update kb929300, service pack 1 for .net framework 3.0,
the kb934238 update will go away.

Hi. I'm having trouble getting update kb929300 to install, though I've tried
it 5 times now through Windows Update.

Any ideas????

Is your system "non-English" Windows version ?
If not, the update is not needed. Hide it.

Doesn't matter, the advice still stands. KB934238 is NOT needed on
'non-English' systems. <w>
Who can tell who the OP is when all of the posts come from web forums
