Error Code 0x80072EE7

Hello all,

I am having problems with Windows Update. When I try to connect i get:

[Error number: 0x80072EE7]
The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are
trying to view. The options provided below might help you solve the problem.
I have followed the advise in Article ID 836941, and all previous postings,
but still having issues. I verfied the Hosts File, and show no IP address to
Windows update. Proxy server is configured to auto detect. I am using
symantec AV Corp ED V.10.0.1.1000. I am lost and short of reloading windows
xp.
This is the error that I located on my WindowsUpdate.log file:
2007-12-17 16:38:49:312 644 75c Misc WARNING: DownloadFileInternal failed
for http://download.windowsupdate.com/v7...r/wuredir.cab:
error 0x80072ee7

Any help is greatly appreciated.

All, i had an DNS server assigned to my personal laptop. Once I did and
IPCONFIG, and realized that I had an wierd look IP Address, I went into
TCP/IP removed the DNS server address, and once I removed it, I was able to
access windows update.
