Screen Discolorment After Automatic Update

Automatic Windows Update ran on my computer and then indicated "Restart" to
complete the process. During the restart at the XP Home Logo screen with the
Blue Loading Bar, the colors became discolored or appeard to be altered.
After rebooting, all applications run like normal however all screens and
applications are discolored. I have rebooted the computer numerous times and
problem persists.

Has anyone else ever encountered this? I cannot find support on this.

Windows XP Home Edition
Following updates were run during the said update:
-Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool (KB892130)
-Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool - December 2007 (KB890830)
-Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 1.1 Service Pack 1
(KB928366)
-Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 2.0 (KB928365)
