I've done all that as well. No luck. No Windows Updates either.
I do notice the damn svchost.exe is always claiming 50% resources when
attempting to update and is taxing the laptop to the point it overheats on
most any new install of a program. Nothing has worked so far. Virus
programs and trojan eliminators can't stop it. Killing svchost.exe allows
some programs to install, but Windows Updates is still crippled.
