Re: windows update 3.1 failure
This might have helped, but I eventually found the problem to be quite
similiar in that the upgrade from xp home to pro did something to the file
permissions. With much help from microsoft online support, I was able to
reset the file permissions by running a file called subinacl, and then
manually installing the new update software. Thank you very much for your
input however, as I will save the referenced page for future use!
