I have Vista and the Update for Microsoft XML Core Services 4.0 Service Pack
2 (KB941833) is the only update which fails to install. Has anyone had this
problem, and is there a fix?

Would it help for me to delete the System32/msxm14.dll and reinstall the
update? Will it cause other failures if I didthis?

I have the same thing. I have tried to follow the instructions in KB941833
but to no avail. I still get an error 80073712.
